I find that searching for images on the iPhone is always a bit of a pain. You can use Google Images, but it’s certainly not iPhone friendly, and you have to open several windows to flick through lots of pictures quickly. With iFindPics, you can easily search for anything you like (with the option of showing only ‘safe’ images) and you’ll get a page of thumbnails, ten at a time. Click on a thumbnail and it’ll load a hi-res image. At this point you can return and select another image or you can keep clicking through the images in order.

It’s got some great uses and saves a lot of time. Give it a shot and see what you think. As always, suggestions are welcome in the comments or by e-mail.

Enjoy!

First, in Cinema Times we’ve massively improved the look of the results page to better match the iPhone style and added several extra options, such as e-mailing a film’s details to a friend. I think you’ll find it’s a much nicer experience.

Second, we’ve added an option to UK Train Times to mail journey details to someone, useful if you’re planning a trip somewhere.

Lastly, we’ve done some tweaking to provide much smoother animation in the screen sliding.

Hope you enjoy all the new bits, all part of an effort to make our WebApps as polished as possible!

We’ve updated the UK Train Times WebApp to include some very useful new features.

First, you can now click on a ‘Later Trains’ button at the bottom of the search results to find a train later than those which have been returned. This will be useful if you need to quickly get more search results than one search will provide.

Second, you now have the ability to save a search to your home screen (with a pretty icon too!) So say you frequently travel from Edinburgh to Aberdeen, you can now save this search so that, just before your journey, you can click the icon and immediately get the next five trains to Aberdeen, without performing the search manually.

These two changes should get you the information you need much quicker and easier than before. Enjoy!
