Frequently Asked Questions

Where do you get the film times from?
The film times are retrieved from Google Movies.

So why wouldn't I just use Google Movies?
Our site simply provides a nicer interface for iPhone and iPod Touch users.

My cinema isn't listed, what can I do?
First of all, check that your cinema is on Google Movies, if it's on Google Movies but not on here, there may be a bug in the site, and you should e-mail us at iphone@themacbox.co.uk letting us know the cinema you're trying to find, and what location you need to search for on Google Movies to find it. If however your cinema isn't on Google Movies, you should consider contacting Google, as adding individual cinemas to our listing is beyond the scope of this project.

How come my cinema is listed today but for later days in the weeks it's not there?
The cinema times are gathered from Google Movies, and sometimes, if the times haven't been published yet, Google won't have got those times yet. This happens most with days when new films are launched (eg. Friday in the UK).

I found a bug, who should I contact?
You can e-mail us at iphone@themacbox.co.uk with any bug reports, constructive comments, praise, etc.

Can I use the site on a normal computer?
Yes feel free, but it will most likely only render correctly in the Safari web browser.
